Alice Hoffman Fuchsia

Celebrated for its hardy nature and bountiful blooms that present a charming display from early summer through to autumn with beautiful charming Pink and White Blooms.

 

The flowers feature beautiful pink sepals with a blushed white corolla, creating a soft yet striking appearance.

 

Versicolor Fuchsia 

With stunning slim red/purple tubular flowers in summer & autumn that the bees love above pink/white/green foliage. A real striking plant! Happy in any site or soil, but best in full sun/partial shade. Grows to approx 1m in height & spread

 

Army Nurse Fuchsia

Royal violet-purple semi-double blooms are carried on the compact stems of this hardy, slightly trailing variety. 'Army Nurse' makes a colourful display in containers and borders that will continue all summer long. Grows to approx 0.6m in height, 0.3m spread.

 

Mrs Popple

Ask anyone to name a hardy Fuchsia and this one is bound to come up - and rightfully so. Also known as Ladies Eardrop, large red and purple flowers adorn the branches throughout the summer and autumn months, adding a real splash of colour. Prefers a sunny or semi shaded site, growing to a height of 1m (3').

 

Sunray

Variegated cream, green and red-flushed foliage, acts as a backdrop to the slender reddish pink buds, which open to reveal a plush purple corolla. Usually flowering non-stop from June to October, it's a showy addition to the front of the border, and will also look great when potted on the patio. Grows to a height & spread of around 0.6m

 

Snowcap

Frilly white petticoats contrast beautifully with the scarlet outer sepals of this superb hardy Fuchsia. The extravagant blooms are produced in succession throughout summer, giving a garden performance that well deserves its RHS AGM. This bushy deciduous shrub has a neat compact habit that is nicely suited to borders or growing in containers on the patio. Grows to a Height of about 100cm (39") with a spread of 50cm (20").

 

Beacon

A bushy, upright deciduous shrub, with mid-green leaves and bearing single flowers with deep pink tubes and sepals and red-veined mauve-pink corollas almost continually from early summer to autumn. Grows to approx 0.6m in height, and 0.4m spread.

 

Gold Mountain

Forms a light, densely branched shrub. An elegant, bushy, deciduous plant, Gold Mountain has an upright and free flowering habit. The attractive lime-yellow or golden foliage makes it a very striking plant. The foliage colour of Gold Mountain intensifies in autumn and makes for a very eye catching plant.

Dainty, pendant, single blooms of cerise and violet bloom throughout the summer and early autumn.

Can be grown in full sun but a semi-shaded position is best as this helps protect the foliage from scorching.

Described as hardy but Gold Mountain prefers a little protection in winter.

If left untrimmed Gold Mountain can reach a height of 2m.

 

Fuchsia Display

Fuchsia 'Display' is an RHS Award of Garden Merit holder, and comes highly recommend for borders and patio pots. Plants of this fuchsia are bushy, upright and covered in all-pink flowers over a long summer period. This is one of the most showy fuchsias, and is often chosen for exhibiting, hence its name

Fuchsia Dsiplay will grow happily in sun or part shade, and are most at home in a partially shaded position, which can be very useful for difficult corners of the patio. Fuchsia 'Display' will flower from June to September, is easy maintenance, and is hardy, so can be used year after year. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 60cm (24").

 

Hawkshead

Fuchsia Hawkshead is a premium outdoor hardy variety which has been awarded the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Fantastic performance year after year, the Hawkshead Fuchsia has pendulous snow white flowers, whilst the outer petals have a fresh, pale green tint. Flowers late May to October. 

Plant in a location with partial to full sunlight. They thrive in well-draining soil and benefit from regular watering, especially in warmer months. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms and extend the flowering season...
